Swapnendu Bhaumik

Swapnendu Bhaumik (Born in 1941 sylhet -Bangladesh) is an Alumnus of Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata. Former teacher of South Point School. Freelance Copywriter: S.H.Benson’s, F.D.Stewart, 1969-1973. Freelance Copywriter and Visualizer: Studio Artscope 1970-1973.
Ex- Editor: Prekhhsan (quarterly literary magazine) 1962-1991. Examiner, Calcutta University, Co-ordinator, Ex- electoral member, Lalit Kala Akademi (LKA), New Delhi, Trustee member of Bhashkar Bhaban Administration and Maintenance Trust.

He had several solo and group shows including Annual Exhibition, LKA, New Delhi 1970, All India Exhibition, All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi 1971, LKA Show Bengaluru 1995, All India Show Centre for International Modern Art(CIMA) Art Gallery, Kolkata 2004. American University Centre Kolkata 1976, LKA, New Delhi 2000, 2004, 2007. Recipient of Sr. Fellowship, Govt. Of India, New Delhi 2000. Works are in private collections in India and Abroad.
